“Lending in a New Era”

March 12 - Walsh College, Novi

The MMLA is once again providing this highly informative and timely seminar covering key issues for sales professionals and managers. This year’s agenda is a detailed look at using social media for companies and loan originators.  Take advantage of these new technologies to increase your network and your bottom line.

What Social Media Means To Loan Officers
Tyler Osby, CMP  Branch Manager and Loan Officer, Fairway Independent Mortgage, IA

Tyler is nationally recognized as an expert implementer when it comes to the use of social media in his mortgage practice. He uses networks such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and blogging to generate new leads and maintain relationships with past clients and key referral partners. Last year, 34% of Tyler's business was generated through his social media strategies.

Only recently has Tyler started sharing his strategies through speaking and communities such as Mortgage Coach and national technology conferences. Tyler’s presentation will cover:

  • Statistics on Social Networks (Broken into specific sites... Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin)
  • Basics on Each Social Network
  • Looking at the "Bigger Picture" for Marketing Strategies

The Current State of US Secondary and Capital Markets
Chris Bennett, President and CEO of Vice Capital Markets

Back by popular demand, Chris has put together a fantastic agenda that is sure to keep everyone on the edge of their seat. Chris has traded over $45 billion in MBS and still has a great sense of humor! He will be discussing the ‘end of quantitative easing’ and the projected effects of the fed pullout from the MBS market and give us his 2010 economic projections.  Do you know what a macroeconomic nadir is? Chris is the only person who can make this stuff useful and interesting!

Social Media Marketing Systems and Corporate Considerations
Pat Kitano, Principal at Domus Consulting Group, San Francisco, CA

Patrick Kitano brings more than 25 years of entrepreneurial experience building businesses within four dynamic industries: real estate, technology, investment banking and media. Domus Consulting Group is the leading management consultant and trainer for the real estate, media and publishing, and non-profit industries. These industries require the high level of community interaction that the social media facilitates. They are the developers of the Breaking News Network and the powerful Domus Social Media Marketing system.

True to his craft, Pat will be coming to us via the web and conference call format with Alice Alvey as moderator.
