Membership Types

Since 1929, the MMLA has served as an advocate for its members by providing the resources, legislative voice and education to effectively support the real estate finance community in Michigan.   MMLA is the ONLY Michigan based association dedicated solely to the mortgage finance industry.

More than 1000 individuals from mortgage banking firms, independent mortgage brokers, commercial banks, credit unions, and others providing products and services to the mortgage industrry are experiencing the advantages of membership in the Michigan Mortgage Lenders Association (MMLA).   

Membership is granted on an individual basis, and is valid for one year from when you join.  The MMLA also offers Corporate Partnership opportunities that bundle Individual Memberships, event sponsorships, advertising and other marketing opportunities into an annual low, discounted price. There are 5 different levels to fit every budget.

Membership Benefits

Individual Members are granted access to all of MMLA's membership benefits.


  • MMLA provides a conduit to improve your legislative and regulatory environments.

  • MMLA represents the mortgage industry before the Michigan Legislature on issues that affect the industry.

  • MMLA works with the lobbying firm, Karoub Associates, to be sure our needs and concerns are being heard by Michigan Legislators.

  • MMLA provides a medium for input to DIFS and the Corporations, Securities and Land Development Bureau on regulatory policies which impact the industry

  • MMLA liaisons with the Mortgage Bankers Association which works with Congress and Federal regulatory authorities to protect the vital interests of the mortgage industry.
