Economic Update:  Hear from Mike Fratantoni,  Chief Economist for the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA), as he discusses how the COVID virus and changes in the market have impacted the mortgage industry.  Mike will also drill down into Michigan specific trends and statistics.  He wlll also look into his crystal ball and give his forcast on how the 2020 election can impact our economy!

Loan Officer CompensationBrian Nettelingham, Partner at Maddin Hauser, will share his legal expertise on all things related to Loan Officer compensation.  This is an ever-changing topic and Brian is on top of all the regulation changes!  His presentation covers the background to the LO Comp rules together with the relevant policy rationales, as well as an overview of key provisions, recent changes, classification of “LOs”, acceptable approaches to compensation, and a discussion of recent enforcement actions regarding non-compliant plans.
