Annual Lending Conference Committee
cHAIRPERSON, Jennifer Peachman - Lenders One
Purpose: To organize the Annual Lending Conference each year, providing quality educational sessions and social activities for members and guests. Committee meets monthly to plan the event via Zoom and had sub-committees including golf outing, speaker sessions, social events, sponsorship and fun details like decorations and menus.
Membership
Purpose: To promote and foster an understanding and appreciation for the real estate finance industry in the communities that we serve. Actively solicit and recruit new members and enhance member benefits, affinity programs, and programs of benefit to members. Responsible for annual Rising Star competition. Meets monthly.
Loan production Committee
Purpose: To be a resource to the Independent Mortgage Broker and LO community and foster awareness of the MMLA and it’s role in the Michigan lending industry. Committee is responsible for planning the annual Sales Rally event.
Education Committee Exchange Calls

iNDECOMM
Purpose: To evaluate industry practices, exchange ideas, and educate association members on any new or timely topics. The Working Group Conference Calls on a subscription basis to its members only. The group discusses current issues regarding compliance and risk assessment. It is a great opportunity to exchange ideas and best practices in an open dialogue format with other members. The group meets by conference call on a monthly basis and the calls last 1 hour.
MARKETING/PR COMMITTEE
Purpose:
To promote the MMLA membership and events through website, email and social media platforms. Enhance membership communications and newsletters, promotion of member recognitions, and spread the word about the MMLA to all industry professionals.
WIN - Women's Inspiration Network
Chairs: Allison Johnston, CMB - Success Mortgage Partners
Created in 2023, this committee's mission statement is to Inspire, mentor, coach and provide resources to help women achieve their goals. Lead by example to embrace change and create productive work habits. Demonstrate basic fundamentals of success through positive encouragement and tactics that drive the successes both today and in the future". The committee will focus on making connections through in-person educational and social events, and monthly Zoom meetings.
LEGISLATIVE COMMITTEE

Michigan First Mortgage
This committee focuses on pending legislation in Michigan and how it might impact the mortgage industry. Working with our Legislative Consulting Firm, Karoub Associates, the committee has a voice in the legislative process. The committee meets monthly via Zoom.
MId Michigan chapter
Purpose
To organize educational seminar session(s) which discuss the latest trends and issues in the mortgage origination arena. Also, plan and promote local social events and golf outings for the enjoyment of members in the Greater Lansing and MidMichigan region. The chapter is responsible for keeping local area mortgage industry professionals connected through education and social events, including but not limited to luncheons, breakfast meetings, golf outing and holiday party.
Southeast Michigan Chapter
Purpose
To organize educational seminar session(s) which discuss the latest trends and issues in the mortgage origination arena. Also, plan and promote local social events and golf outings for the enjoyment of members in the Metro-Detroit area. The chapter is responsible for keeping local area mortgage industry professionals connected through education and social events, including but not limited to luncheons, breakfast meetings, golf outing and holiday party.
West Michigan Chapter
Purpose
To organize educational seminar session(s) which discuss the latest trends and issues in the mortgage origination arena. Also, plan and promote local social events and golf outings for the enjoyment of members in the greater Grand Rapids and Western Michigan areas. The chapter is responsible for keeping local area mortgage industry professionals connected through education and social events, including but not limited to luncheons, breakfast meetings, golf outing and holiday party.
