About Us

The MMLA is the ONLY Michigan-based trade association dedicated solely to the housing finance industry. Since its inception in 1929, the MMLA has advocated for its members to effectively support Michigan's real estate community.

Nearly 1200 individuals from mortgage banking firms, independent mortgage brokers, commercial banks, credit unions, and others providing products and services to the mortgage industry are experiencing membership in the Michigan Mortgage Lenders Association (MMLA). 

  • The MMLA is representative voice of the real estate finance industry and the consumers it serves to regulators, policy makers and the Michigan legislature.
  • The MMLA supports ongoing education of local industry professionals and consumers that ensures all real estate transaction participants are equipped to make well-informed decisions.
