This program is an exclusive opportunity that enables participants to build their knowledge of the mortgage industry and leadership skills through in-person learning, collaboration, and peer group interactions. Class participants can be any industry professional who wants to grow their business and expand their knowledge of the industry. To enhance the learning and networking experience, participants will be registered on a limited basis, so submit your application by April 15. This course is open to anyone in the mortgage industry.
During the program, participants will be split into groups to discuss the content and collaborate on a final group project. The project consists of creating a fictiional business in the mortgage industry and present a full business plan for this company. Past Future Leaders have found this exercise fun and very rewarding! The candidates will present final reports of live at a “graduation” reception at Lansing Brewing Company in Lansing. The team with the winning project will not just get bragging rights, but will also receive a free registration pass to attend the MMLA Annual Lending Conference October 4 - 6 at the Ann Arbor Marriott Ypsilanti. Completion of this program will also give participants 10 earned credits toward the MBA’s CMB program requirements.![]()

The classes will be held live May 13 - 14 at the AC Hotel Lansing in Lansing, MI. The course consists of courses presented by Certified Mortgage Bankers (CMB) who have hands-on experience and expert knowledge of the content. The class will be held from 1 pm on May 13 through 1 pm on May 14. Lunch, breakfast and dinner on those days are included with the $249 registration fee. It also includes registration for course participants to attend the Project Presentation/Graduation Reception in July (date and location still tbd.)
Note: Non-member fee is $349 and includes a 1 year MMLA membership (a $199 value)

Registrations must be received NO LATER THAN April 15. All students in this program are expected to attend each session, pro-actively participate within each session, and will be encouraged to participate on local chapter or State committee in the future.
