Every Member…Every Year!

MORBANPAC is the non-partisan political action committee of the Michigan Mortgage Lenders Association. It operates at the state level to support elected officials and candidates whose philosophies and positions support the real estate finance industry.

Every year, MORBANPAC depends on individual contributions to help support its mission.  Recent issues that MMLA has been involved in, with the help of its MORBANPAC influence include:

  • Actively involved to make sure Realtors and Appraisers were designated as “essential” at the beginning of the COVID pandemic
  • Remember the new Juneteenth Holiday issue last year? MMLA stepped in to put pressure on CFPB to issue a formal statement for mortgage lenders and helped get the rule allowing lenders to choose whether to adopt the law in 2021 or 2022
  • Helped craft the Michigan Mortgage partnership forbearance language
  • Codifying RON in emergency orders, then by statute
  • Input on notary legislation that is still ongoing
  • Helpful support to first time homebuyers bills (Realtors)
  • Input on the CERA (rental assistance) program
  • Helping craft the rules and administration of the Homeowners Assistance Fund from MSDHA (upcoming)

We are asking for your contribution for 2022.  With the elections coming this fall, your contribution is  more important this year!  Consider becoming a MAC$250 Club member and give $22 a month in ‘22 (or $250) to get the perks and support this cause. If every MMLA member donated just $25 we would smash our 2022 goal of $35,000.   Please help MMLA reach this goal in 2022 - donate now by clicking here.  Thanks in advance for your support of MORBANPAC!

Thank you to these members who contributed $250 or more so far this year:

As the interest rate surpasses the 5% mark on a 30 year fixed rate loan with more increases expected, many potential homebuyers are beginning to rethink whether or not now is the time to purchase. This has caused overall loan volumes to decrease, resulting in many organizational leaders adjusting their needs, strategy and teams to ensure that they have the right teams and support in place to generate and ensure consistent business.

At Pezian Search Group, we’ve endured the ups and downs of the industry over the past 12+ years while supporting Clients in the Mortgage, Banking and their supporting industries. With this current market shift, many Clients have used this as an opportunity to strengthen their teams in areas outside of the traditional Operations and Sales areas. Our most recent Client needs have included Marketing Managers, Financial/Business/Solutions Analysts, Loan Servicing Specialists, as well as Title & Escrow Officers and more.

We offer the following benefits to ALL of our Clients:

  • Industry Specific Search Firm
  • Full Satisfaction & Fit Guarantee
  • Contingent Based - No Upfront Costs
  • Decreasing Fee Structure As Our Relationship Grows
  • Wholly Based In The U.S. (right here in Michigan!)

*Additionally* - we do have a special offer for our MMLA Clients!

If you’re interested in discussing your team's needs and growth plans, please reach out to us directly at [email protected] and we’re happy to set up a time to speak.  You can also email us to subscribe to our “Featured Candidates” monthly newsletter where we deliver fantastic candidates that are actively looking for their next opportunity right to your inbox.  We offer this at no cost and no obligation because we understand that sometimes the most pressing need isn’t posted on a job board or a website, but that doesn’t mean the need isn’t urgent.

We look forward to the opportunity to work with you.

MMLA CHAPTER PARTNER PROGRAM

This exciting program allows MMLA members to purchase advertising, event registrations, and event sponsorships at a significantly discounted rate for all LOCAL CHAPTER events. The current Corporate Partnership Program does not allow for this type of exposure at the chapter level, so this is an enhancement to our Corporate Partnership program!
