Gov. Whitmer Streamlines Process for FOIA Requests, Promotes Transparency
Gov. Whitmer Announces Housing Funding in New Infrastructure DealGovernor Gretchen Whitmer highlighted several investments in the Building Michigan Together Plan, a bipartisan infrastructure bill that delivers on several proposals she rolled out last year on how to best invest federal resources and the state’s surplus.
Last week, the legislature and Governor reached a deal on a water/infrastructure/housing supplemental budget. SB 565 was passed out of the House Appropriations committee in a late night convening of the committee. It currently sits on the House floor for a final vote, expected today. The Senate is working on another piece to this supplemental in HB 5525 which gives more resources to the unemployment insurance agency and fund.
