MMLA @ NAC
The MMLA was represented well last week at the Mortgage Banker's Association's National Advocacy Conference in Washington DC. Attendees from all around the country converged on DC and got tot hear from MBA leaders and Federal legislators on the issues impacting our mortgage industry. On the final day of the event, attendees went to Capital Hill and met with their state legislators in their offices to explain the issues to them.
The Michigan contingent included: Joanne Misuraca, Kate McDougall, Julie Conley, Trinity Lancione, Tim Ross, Dan Sugg CMB, Brent Green CMB, William Newman, Denya Macaluso, Mark Jones, Matt Jones, Rob Truitt, Becky Heichel, Michael Dresden, Grace Ragan, Dave Sparling and Jeff Weisserman.

The MMLA "Rising Star" Recognition Program!
The Michigan Mortgage Lenders Association’s (MMLA) Rising Star Award is a prestigious designation that is awarded to the “Rising Stars” of the Michigan mortgage industry. As the mortgage industry continues to evolve, the MMLA recognizes the importance of having industry leaders involved to continue moving the mortgage industry forward.
The MMLA is seeking nominations for this annual award which recognizes MMLA members who are achievers based on factors such as commitment to the industry, growth and advancement in position, awards and accolades, philanthropic successes, impact on the mortgage industry in Michigan, and participation in MMLA events and committees.

 Congratulations to Owen Lee, CEO of Success Mortgage Partners, Inc., on being named the recipient of the MBA's Burton C. Wood Legislative Service Award. The award was announced last week at the MBA's National Advocacy Conference in Washington, DC.

During that time she has served as President of the MMBA, served on the board as Education Chair for the MMLA and was the 2020 recipient of the esteemed James T. Barnes Lifetime Achievement Award from the MMLA. She has been an asset to the industry and she will be truly missed. Thanks for ALL you have done Audrey, and enjoy your retirement!!
